Silk twill

Twill is one of the three main weaves and is characterized by the presence of oblique ribs on the front and back. Often used for ties, twill is soft, shiny and enhances colours very well. It is also used in high-end silk scarves, such as those made by Hermès and Chanel.

Julie Arbour's 100% natural silk twill scarves are printed on a 12 to 16 mommes thickness (approx. 51 to 68g/m²).

Hand wash in cold water with mild soap. Hang to dry. Iron at low temperature if necessary.

Peachskin jersey

95% polyester/5% elastane.

Wash in cold water with a phosphate-free detergent. Dry on medium heat. Does not shrink in the wash.

Very soft and comfortable. Light and airy. Washable and ageing resistant. Dries quickly.

Fabric with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 - Class 1 certification. Its manufacture is controlled at each stage of processing: raw materials, yarns, dyeing. It is therefore harmless to human health, including the health of toddlers, since it contains no harmful substances. See the certificate.

Recycled polyester

The Recycling Claims Standard (RCS) and the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) are international, voluntary standards that define requirements for third-party content and supply chain certification. The common objective of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS standard includes additional criteria for social and environmental treatment requirements and chemical restrictions.

Environmental impact

The perks of creating limited editions is that we only print the quantity needed for our production. This means that there is little textile waste and no residual inks. All textile waste produced is reused as much as possible by the company - in fashion accessories and other fabric products for the workshop.

The machines used for series printing incorporate sustainable systems, such as reduced water and energy consumption. Fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified, and dyes are all BLUESIGN and GOTS approved.

SUBLIMATION
Sublimation is a process in which ink is transferred to a synthetic fabric at very high temperatures. Once heated, the ink instantly transforms into a gas that is trapped in the fabric fibers. Once transferred, the ink is non-removable and evenly distributed across the fabric. This process therefore uses no water.

REACTIVE INKS
Reactive printing is a permanent way of printing on natural fibers by creating chemical reactions at the cellular level of the fiber. It's a multi-step process: pre-treat fabrics to prepare them for printing, print them digitally with special inks, spray them at high temperature to set up the reaction, and finally wash off the excess ink to soften the fabric for its final use. This printing method gives the best results in terms of color and durability.
