ENVIRONMENT

Because fibre is at the heart of the textile craftswoman's profession, the choice of an ecological and sustainable material is part of the company's creation and design process.

We believe in transparency in how we make our clothes, but also what they are made of. Wherever possible, we choose high-quality, eco-friendly materials to meet our high standards of comfort and durability.

All Julie Arbour Design clothing is designed, cut and made by partners located in Quebec. Local manufacturing allows us to keep a watchful eye on the quality of the work and to maintain close collaboration with our partners at every step of the process.

Reduced carbon footprint

By producing locally and in very small quantities, we are able to produce according to demand rather than at high quotas. Our carbon footprint is also reduced by the proximity of our production partners, who are located within a 25km radius of the design studio. No containers from overseas, so less greenhouse gas emissions.

Conscious consumption

The impact of the textile industry on the environment is responsible for nearly 20% of the world's water pollution. For this reason, a discount may be offered to our clients who wish to dispose of a Julie Arbour Design creation in order to purchase a new one. Certain conditions apply. For more information on this subject, please contact us.

As a company, we are constantly thinking about how we can reduce our impact by adopting more sustainable solutions, such as the decision to switch to glue and staple-free cardboard packaging. Just so we all know, being green can be beautiful!
